About Bohemian Yoga Studio

Welcome to Bohemian Yoga! We are a small studio that provides accessible and affordable classes to create a meaningful and sustainable practice. Our classes are kept small and the movements are linked with breath to create a true mind/body connection. Our sequences are created with the individual in mind, with a focus on strength and progressive movement. Our classes are designed to allow you to create a mindful movement practice that will improve your strength, balance and flexibility. We take an evidence based approach to yoga while honoring and teaching yoga philosophy to our students. We believe that yoga is for every body, and we would love to share our space and practice with you in a safe, not intimidating environment!

Kristen Hoover

Hi there! I am the proud owner of Bohemian Yoga Studio! My journey with yoga began in 2007 when I attended a hot yoga class in my area. I left the class challenged but calm, thus the beginning of a true connection with my mind and body. Over the years my practice has evolved into a more sustainable, meditative approach. In 2017 I underwent a pelvic surgery that didn’t go well for me. After years of pelvic pain and working with a pelvic physical therapist, I began to understand how our body can hold trauma and emotions, and how yoga can calm our nervous system and move trauma through our bodies. This was revolutionary to me and my yoga practice took on a whole new meaning!

In 2020 I decided to obtain my 200 YTT, and I’m working towards my 300 YTT and yoga therapist certification. My desire is to create sustainable practices using all eight limbs of yoga. I feel that yoga should be accessible to everyone, regardless of size, age, or gender. My trauma-informed classes invite my students to have agency over their practice. I love keeping my classes small, so I can focus on observing movement patterns. I currently offer small group classes at my salon, Bohemian Hair, and I’m available for private lessons and corporate events. I would love to meet you and have you try one of my classes!
